What is maxillary sinus lift?

Maxillary sinus lift, also known as sinus lift, is a surgical procedure aimed at increasing the volume of bone in the posterior area of the upper jaw.

How does maxillary sinus lift treatment work?

Our professional sedation will ensure you are relaxed and very comfortable before we begin

Once we begin, our specialist surgeon will make an incision in the gum tissue where the posterior teeth used to be. Then, this tissue is lifted to expose the bone, and a small oval window is opened in the bone. In the next step, the sinus membrane is gently pushed upward and outward from the jaw

The bone graft material is packed into the space where the sinus used to be. The amount of bone used will vary from case to case, but typically several millimeters of bone are added.

Once the bone is placed, the tissue is closed with stitches, and the treatment is completed
