The dental implant planning phase is a crucial process that takes place before the intervention. This step includes:
1. Patient Evaluation: A thorough examination of the patient’s oral and general health is performed, as well as taking 3D X-rays and scans to evaluate bone structure.
2. 3D Computerized Tomography: Advanced technology, with which we obtain detailed images of the area to be treated, allowing for more precise planning.
3. Surgical Guide Design: If necessary, personalized surgical guides are created using 3D technology to facilitate the exact placement of implants during surgery.
4. Determination of Implant Type: The most suitable type of implant is chosen based on the patient’s oral anatomy and specific needs.
5. Virtual Planning: We conduct a meticulous virtual treatment planning, and also assess the possible need for complementary treatments, such as bone grafts or sinus lifts, among others. This comprehensive approach ensures thorough consideration of all relevant details to ensure the absolute success of the procedure.
We perform the first phase of dental implant placement through minimal incisions, significantly improving the healing process. Long-term success depends on the precision in placement and postoperative follow-up to ensure optimal integration.
The final phase is the dental implant rehabilitation. This focuses on restoring oral function and aesthetics and includes taking digital impressions with a 3D scanner, manufacturing and fitting custom crowns. Planning & Surgical Phase: At PeruDental, we conduct virtual planning during the first appointment. At this stage, we precisely visualize the exact position and angulation of the implant to be placed. Thanks to the comprehensive technology available in our clinic, we can perform the planning phase and surgical phase in a single session, eliminating the need for additional appointments.
Rehabilitation Phase: After the healing period, which is typically 3 months after implant placement, we manufacture the definitive crown in a single appointment thanks to our CAD/CAM technology.
In certain circumstances, it is feasible to place the implant crown during the same appointment as the implant placement, provided that certain clinical conditions are met.
Regarding the time in Lima, we suggest planning a stay of between 7 and 10 days. This period allows us to place the dental implants and supervise the initial phases of healing. This precaution ensures proper follow-up and optimal results in your treatment.
In the case of scheduling an appointment from abroad or provinces, the recommended schedule is as follows:
First Phase: A stay of 5 to 7 days is suggested. During this time, we can place your dental implants and carry out the necessary follow-up of the initial healing stages.
Second Phase: For this stage, it is advisable to stay a minimum of 3 to 4 days. This allows the second phase of the treatment to be completed properly, ensuring optimal results in your dental procedure.»
