With Dr. Park’s expertise and personalized care, you can trust that you’re in skilled hands for all your periodontal needs.

For those dealing with periodontal disease, deep periodontal cleanings are crucial to preserving your overall health and preventing further complications. Periodontal disease doesn’t just affect oral health—it has also been linked to other health issues.

Under the care of Dr. Jung Park, our skilled specialist with years of experience, we ensure that your treatment helps protect both your smile and your well-being.

Treatment Phases of Periodontics

Root planing:

It is a deep cleaning that removes plaque, food particles, and tartar buildup around the gums, leaving them clean and capable of restoring optimal health.

Scaling

The next phase of the treatment involves treating the tooth’s root and removing plaque and debris to allow the gum «pockets» to heal and return to a healthy state.

Maintenance

Patients with periodontal disease should undergo regular scaling and root planing treatments at least every 3 to 4 months. In most cases, the treatment is ongoing, and proper care by a specialist is crucial. If the necessary care for periodontal issues is not taken, tooth loss, gum recession, and long-term bone loss are likely to occur.

Step 4

It’s important to schedule regular professional periodontic cleanings to control and improve the problem.
